Maximize Your Ad Budget with Banners

If you're like many marketers, retail and otherwise you know that your advertising dollar is buying less and less in terms of qualified leads. And like many you are likely seeking a way to attract the RIGHT kind of customers. There is a way to effectively communicate your marketing message to the people that drive-by your facility.

Effective signage can help you to create traffic as well as promote profitable products and services. While many retailers are already using banners and signage, they are typically outdated in terms of the messaging and are often dirty and tattered. This type of signage can actually be detrimental to attracting new business.
Investing in a banner program can breathe new life into your business, attract additional customers and increase the average sale per customer by promoting additional products and services. In addition, banners can generate greater interest because the message can be focused on holidays, specials and benefits that your company offers customers.

Let's face it, when we use traditional advertising, most of our ad dollars are wasted on customers who either don't fit our optimal profile, are out of our geographic area, or who just don't have the capacity to buy. The new post-recession era requires a more practical approach to marketing and a return to "back to basics" and proven methods.

Make the decision to create a banner program for your business today.

Keep Your Banners Simple

Keep your banner text short and sweet! You only have a few seconds to get your message across, so don’t try to get them to read a book. If your banner has too much text, the viewer will skip it all together.

Make it simple- start with your logo and perhaps a product shot. An effective banner usually consists of a simple picture of whatever you are promoting, then one main line of text (i.e. "half off appetizers on Tuesday" or "free oil change with detail".) You can then add a second line of text with the details of your offer, (i.e. "one per customer" or "not valid with any discounts".)

Remember that your banner is like a small billboard- "Got Milk?" is all the text needed on top of an image of a movie star with a milk mustache. So, keep it simple and make a bold statement.
